Colorful carp flying for Boy's Day

May 5th is Children's Day (こどもの日 Kodomo no Hi) on May 5th is also called Boy's Day.




These windsock type flags appear like the fish (carp) are swimming in the wind. They are called Koinobori 鯉幟 which means carp streamer. And, this Holiday is for boys. The Girl's day is a Holiday celebrated in March.
