Super Stationmaster Tama (Wakayama, Japan)

Super Stationmaster Tama (Wakayama, Japan) (by martian cat)

Tama (たま) is the Stationmaster at Kishi Station of the Kishigawa Line in Wakayama (Japan). And, an orange Tabby by the name of Miiko (ミーコ) is her assistant.

Tama's official Stationmaster duty at Kishi Station in Wakayama (Japan) for the Wakayama Electric Railway Kishigawa Line is to greet people. She was born on April 29, 1999 and appeared in a TV special and has been written up in the newpaper, too.

I finally had the chance to meet her and I was so excited to see little Tama. Tama won my heart when there was a special about her duties as Stationmaster on TV. Last year, I tried to see her, but she was on vacation (off-duty) the day I visited the station. This year, I did not want to miss her! And, I had to check her schedule to see when she is appearing at the train station to be sure I saw her.
